Blog

What gets written, and what ships.

  1. Version

    v1.3.0

    • A new site icon in browser tabs, bookmarks and on the mobile home screen
    • The site installs as an app, and its window takes the colour the page actually paints
    • The privacy policy states that linking a SoundCloud account stores the tokens letting Downlink read your tracks, and that unlinking deletes them
  2. Version

    v1.2.0

    • New legal notice page; the privacy policy now spells out who processes what, where the data lives (EU servers) and your GDPR rights.
    • Fonts are served from the site itself: visitor IPs no longer reach Google.
    • SoundCloud profile pictures and names display correctly, including on accounts created earlier.
    • A cleaner sign-in screen, one centred column, with the legal links at hand.
  3. Post

    Why Downlink exists

A download gate running on my own server, with no account for fans to create and no ceiling on file size.

  4. Version

    v1.1.0

    • A new blog at /blog: posts and release notes, in French and English.
    • The same header on every page: once signed in, the shortcuts to your dashboard and profile follow you everywhere.
    • One footer across the whole site, carrying the published version and the portfolio link.
    • The Terms and Privacy pages now wear the site header and a comfortable reading width.
    • The footer no longer disappears while a page loads or on error screens.
